Description
Tinnitus Chopper Noise uses four high-frequency noises filtered with a fluctuating variable effect, often called a ‘chopper’. Each of these noises is in a different frequency range and slowly sweeps, creating a sound that is sonically reminiscent of sprinklers on the grass. This audio is a variation of the Tinnitus Scrubber, which uses a rhythmic pulsing of the noise.
While most of our tinnitus series uses specific focused frequencies or a single sweeping frequency, the Chopper is designed to hopefully break the ringing cycle by distracting the ear with a new sound in that same frequency range. Since everybody’s ringing is a unique frequency (or multiple frequencies), this sound may work for some and not for others. It will depend on the type of tinnitus a listener has. The product includes both one-hour and ten-hour downloadable MP3 files.
