Description
The Tinnitus Extinguisher is a frequency band of noise from 5000 Hz to 10000 Hz (5kHz – 10kHz) that remains constant and static.
The noise masking concept is to introduce a low-volume noise that is similar in the frequency range to the tinnitus sound in the mind of the listener. This noise, in some instances, may offer some relief from the tinnitus sound.
It does not always work, and the frequency needs to be close to the tinnitus ringing sound. Also, it should be played at a lower volume than the tinnitus sound itself.
